March Hangar Day – Staff Meeting

March 7 Hangar Day, Aircraft Display Day & Pilot Fly-Out

Join the Inland Empire Wing of the Commemorative Air Force (IEW CAF) on Saturday, March 7 for a full day of aviation fellowship, aircraft display opportunities, and a mid-day fly-out to lunch.

This special Saturday combines our regular Hangar Day, an official Vintage Aircraft Display Day, and a noon fly-out to Fullerton Airport for lunch and networking.

Hangar Day – 0800 Hours

Our monthly Hangar Day begins at 0800. Members are welcome to arrive at any time during the morning to assist with aircraft care, facility projects, and ongoing restoration efforts.

This is a great opportunity to:

• Get involved with hands-on aircraft preservation
• Meet fellow members and pilots
• Support the mission of preserving and flying historic aircraft

Aircraft Display Day (Open to Members & Non-Members)

March 7 also qualifies as an official Aircraft Display Day for aircraft owners seeking California’s Aircraft of Historical Significance Property Tax Exemption.

✔️ Sign-offs will be provided for qualifying aircraft displayed at this event.

Whether you are a current IEW member or not, vintage aircraft owners are invited to participate.

While visiting, pilots and guests are welcome to:

• Tour our WWII aviation museum
• Visit the hangar and meet the team
• Network with fellow aircraft owners

Noon Fly-Out to Fullerton for Lunch

At 1200 hours, members with aircraft are encouraged to depart for a group fly-out to Fullerton Airport for lunch.

Flying members are encouraged to:

• Invite members who do not currently have an aircraft
• Make this a networking and fellowship opportunity

After lunch, participants may return at their leisure.

The Inland Empire Wing of the Commemorative Air Force is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving, restoring, and flying historic military aircraft to Honor, Inspire, and Educate.

Events like this Aircraft Display Day support both aircraft preservation and responsible documentation that helps keep vintage aircraft flying.
