Valentines Lunch Flight Aboard the Doll

This Valentine’s Day, we’re planning something a little special for our Wing, a members-only afternoon flight aboard the D-Day Doll with lunch in San Diego and a scenic coastal return.
Date – Saturday, February 14
The Plan
We’ll depart Riverside at 10:00 AM, fly south to Montgomery Field (MYF), enjoy lunch together at Casa Machado, then return north along the coastline before landing back in Riverside between 2:00–3:00 PM.
Total planned flight time is approximately 1.5 hours, allowing time for routing, sightseeing, and safe margins.
Cost Breakdown
- $150 per seat (everyone pays — pilots, crew chiefs, loadmasters included)
- Aircraft capacity: up to 19
- Minimum 12 on board required to launch
Guest Policy –
Each IEW member may bring one guest (ideally a significant other).
This allows spouses or partners who are not members to join you for the flight.
- Maximum of two seats per member
- Seats are first come, first served
Eligibility Requirements
To reserve seats, you must be current and paid up in:
- CAF National Membership, and
- Inland Empire Wing (IEW) Membership
Guests may fly under the sponsoring member.
How to Reserve Your Seat(s)
Book online from our website under book a flight and enter your reservation for one or two and enter your credit card details for the flight.
If our flight fills up members are welcome to fly their planes and join us for lunch in San Diego. Qualified pilots may also fly the T-6 or L-4.
Why We’re Doing This
This is meant to be a relaxed, fun afternoon with fellow Colonels. A chance to enjoy an afternoon flight about the D-Day Doll, share a great meal, and take in the California coastline together. No pressure, no fundraising just a relaxing afternoon.
